Last month at a girls’ night out, someone told a story of decorating anarchy. Her husband, a business man, decided that he wanted to redecorate their living room in one weekend. She was already in the middle of doing it and had plans for a light, airy room. Nonetheless, her husband went out that Saturday morning on a secret shopping trip and by the time she got home there was already a truck in the driveway delivering maroon Oriental carpets and brown leather sofas for their living room. Of course, the furniture never left the truck. How could he have thought that he had the taste to take on their living room?
