When I was a child I thought good people lived in cottages and bad people lived in castles. Now that makes sense. But remember how they usually needed the magic wand to clean it all up? That's why the cottage has such a good name. It requires work but it's worth it in the end when you have a retreat to escape to. That's why we associate cottages with all things good and pretty and charming. Too bad they are usually pokey with low ceilings and small windows and just don't work for the way we live today — or could they?
