I remember the first time I saw professional restaurant equipment used in a kitchen: stainless steel appliances coupled with traditional painted cupboards. I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen and certainly the last word in kitchen design — the pendulum would never swing back to seamless Euro-style kitchens. But I was wrong — the pendulum has swung back. So what do you do if you want timeless? Which way do you go? Modern or classic?
