I love the month of September because it's when I get to see my friends again after a long summer. I saw one couple recently who had been away since May "at the cottage," they said. These guys? Urbanites who love food and design and style? I thought they spent all their money on their lifestyle. I wanted to ask how they could ever afford it; of course I couldn't, but they read my mind. "You've got to come up next summer — it's fabulous, it costs nothing — it's a cheap dream," they said. These guys? With their taste? How could they be happy with a cheap dream?
