TV: Episode 11 - Is There Style In The Suburbs?
Sacrificing a downtown location doesn't mean giving up on mod city style like a spa retreat bathroom, built-in closets, a dream kitchen and luxurious finishes.
I grew up in the suburbs in Niagara Falls, in a typical ranch-style house that was built in the '50s or '60s, very "Brady Bunch" with all the modern conveniences. There were a lot of great things about living in the suburbs, but style was not one of them. Now I live in the city, the hub of style - style doesn't live out there in the 'burbs. At least that's my idea, anyway. But you know, there are a lot of people working here at House & Home magazine with great taste and a ton of style who live in the suburbs. Could I be wrong? Is it possible that there's style in suburbia?Log in to write a comment about this video or share your tips and questions in our forums.
