"We’re 27 years old and our house is 53," say homeowners Sherry and John Petersik, authors of Young House Love, a blog that's been featured on CNN, HGTV’s Rate My Space and The New York Times. "Sure, it’s old enough to be our parent, but we treat it like it’s our baby," Sherry continues. "It’s actually our first home, and it’s located in Richmond, Virginia. The only problem? When we bought it, the house had definitely seen better days. But armed with a smidge of know-how and a ton of enthusiasm, we got down to business.
