Gallery: Great Paint Colours

Painted Kids' Bathroom
The antique looking faucets and lights and bright colour scheme in this design appeals to girls, boys and adults alike.
Bold teal paint livens up this cottage-y children’s bathroom, where it covers a vintage clawfoot tub, old-fashioned sink and walls above crisp white paneling.

Love the wall colour. The only minor change that I'd make to the room is the drapery rod. It seems to punctuate rather than flow.
Hi,
Can you please tell me what colour the grey is in the dining room with the chandelier?
Thank you.
Hello Nancy,
I just phoned Sherwin-Williams in Toronto, and Silverado (SW1005) is still available ⎯ only the paint chip has been discontinued. If you visit your nearest Sherwin-Williams, they still have the formula for SW1005.
If you would prefer a Benjamin Moore colour, here are some options:
Deep Silver (2124-30), a bit darker than Silverado
Silver Spring (2120-50), a bit lighter than Silverado
Stone (2112-40), a warmer version of the steely blue-greys above
I hope that helps!
Hello Mary,
Yes, another H&H reader has asked us that, and although it's no longer on the Kohler website, you can try calling your local Kohler retailer to ask them about availability. Hopefully it's still available, or can be ordered from another retailer. Sorry we can't be more helpful.
The photo appeared in our June 2008 issue as the House & Home of the Month (p. 133).
Yes, Tami, the Silverado paint was used in the bedroom with the grey walls/white drapery/chandelier. Comments usually apply to the whole gallery, which is why they "follow" you from photo to photo.
Hello Debbie,
That photo of the grey bedroom appeared in our June 2008 issue in the City Living section. The wall colour is called Silverado (SW 1005) from Sherwin-Williams. Hope that helps!
