Back From The Grave!

This just in: the Ikea gods have heard my prayers and resurrected the dearly departed Hemnes four-poster bed! After my blog post griping about discontinuing that which I love, Ikea just got in touch and informed me about the new Edland bed. It's so new, it's not even up on the Ikea website yet. Call your local Ikea to check their stock. It’s just like the Hemnes, but now comes in a fresh white shade. They've done the painting for you!
And for all those penny-pinchers out there, the new Edland is $20 cheaper (only $370 for a queen) than the Hemnes was. Now that’s recession-busting at its finest! Ikea — I heart you.

Style up your new four-poster with some gauzy panels.

Ikea Lill curtains ($7 for a pair) are an affordable option.

Add striking bedding like this queen set from Sears ($143!) with a super-affordable wool blanket ($70 for a twin) from MacAusland’s Woolen Mills to keep at your toes for chilly nights.

Just spent two nights sleeping in a canopy bed! Now I know what all the fuss is about. I'm glad IKEA rescued your friend!
Of course you can, Charlene! And don't worry, there are lots more ideas to come. Check back often!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Michael. You have given me hope that I may actually be able to afford to decorate. By the way, did I say thank you?
These beds are so pretty!
